Thanks to SOUTHPOINT VOLKSWAGEN for being a sponsor of the 2022 Baton Rouge Block Party!

WHEN: March 26-27, 2022
REGISTRATION: Advanced Event Systems
ADMISSION: ADMISSION IS BY CREDIT CARD ONLY, NO ADVANCE SALES. $10 per person, free for 8-and-under. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express accepted.
Parents, chaperones, and team representatives must pay admission. Players and rostered coaches do not pay.
SCHEDULE: The schedule is posted. Remember that our schedule can change right up until the last minute. As we have told club directors, the tournament has grown faster than we could have imagined, so not all teams will play in the River Center. We are also aware that there could be mistakes on the schedule. If you are a parent or coach, please tell your club director. We will only entertain inquiries from club directors: https://bit.ly/3qsOJLM
ROSTERS: Teams can only compete if they have a completed AES Block Party roster printed out to present to the officials at each match. There is no pre-tournament check-in or meeting. Club directors and coaches are responsible for this. We will not be able to assist with this on-site, so please get your rosters completed and have printed copies with you for each match.
AGE WAIVERS: The Bayou Region does not grant waivers, nor are waivers from other regions accepted.
BOYS: The Bayou Region allows boys to play with and against girls teams in 10s, 12s, 13s, and 14s.
SAFE SPORT: Every player or coach who is 18 or will turn 18 during this club season must have taken the Safe Sport Training. There are no exceptions, so if you have an athlete who is 18, please go to: https://www.teamusa.org/usa-volleyball/about-us/safesport/safesport-training

Big thanks to Visit Baton Rouge (visitbatonrouge.com), the Governor’s Games (Louisiana Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports) and Southpoint Volkswagen (https://www.southpointvw.com) for their support of the Block Party.

SCHEDULE NOTES: The Saturday-morning waves at St. George and Woodlawn HS start at 9 a.m, not 8 a.m. like all the others. Also, if you play at St. Amant on Courts 32 or 33, you may bring your own chairs. That is the only venue where you can bring a chair.
WHERE: Do not call the gyms for tournament information. Any questions should be directed to [email protected]
— Raising Cane’s River Center (275 South River Road, Baton Rouge, LA, 70802). Entrance into the River Center is from St. Louis Street only.
The River Center has a “clear bag” policy that will be enforced for all spectators. Players’ athletic bags and backpacks are OK. There will be full-service concession stands on-site and it’s also where Fine Designs, our apparel vendor, will be set up.
The River Center will also have concessions, but it may be limited. Credit card payments only.
Parking is available on the street, but on Saturday there is also another event in the River Center, so to park for free you may have to walk a ways. Parking is also available in the parking garages located on St. Louis Boulevard (There is a $10/day fee to park in these garages and payment is by credit card only).
We will do our best to have most teams play at least one day in the River Center, but we can’t promise. http://raisingcanesrivercenter.com/
